The practice
Since 2013
An independent practice, built on trust
Gibbs Marsh Equine was established in 2013 with a clear purpose: to bring high-quality, practical veterinary care to horses and ponies across North Dorset and the surrounding counties.
What started as a small team has grown into a multi-vet practice covering a wide area, caring for leisure horses, competition horses and donkeys with the same commitment. We remain proudly independent, which means every clinical decision is guided by what is right for the animal in our care.
Six qualified vets and a skilled support team give us the depth to cover a broad range of services, from everyday routine care through to advanced diagnostics, regenerative therapies and specialist clinic days, all from a single practice.

What sets us apart
Continuity of care
We build lasting relationships with our clients and their animals. As a practice, we get to know every horse on our books so that continuity of care runs through the team, whoever visits your yard.
In-house 24/7 emergency response
When your horse needs urgent help, you speak to our own Gibbs Marsh team, whatever the hour. We run our own out-of-hours service, 365 days a year, so you are never passed to a third-party provider.
Ongoing investment
We invest continuously in equipment, training and our on-site clinic. From our outdoor arena and diagnostic tools to the team's professional development, our commitment to ongoing investment ensures the very best standard of care for your horses.
Our expert team
Our growing team of six qualified vets is supported by skilled veterinary technicians and a dedicated office team who coordinate appointments, answer client queries and keep the practice running smoothly. Together they bring hospital training, sports medicine expertise and first-opinion experience to every yard visit.

Outdoor arena and clinic
Our clinic at Gibbs Marsh Farm provides a full working base for the practice. The outdoor arena, hard trot-up and non-slip lunging area allow us to assess horses in controlled conditions throughout the year. We also host specialist clinic days and visits from European surgeons and internal medicine specialists.
